Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of inside and outside spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, and surface cleaning to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
- Implement proper sanitation procedures across all areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment for residents and visitors.
- Handle laundry duties efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and towels.
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and detergents safely and effectively to maintain floors, carpets, surfaces, and upholstery.
- Manage manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of furniture or supplies with proper technique to prevent injury.
- Communicate professionally with clients to understand specific cleaning preferences and address any special requests or concerns.
- Maintain organized cleaning schedules and manage time effectively to complete tasks promptly without compromising quality.
- Conduct outdoor work as needed, including patio or grass area cleaning and maintenance.
- Follow janitorial and custodial procedures consistently to ensure compliance with health standards.
- Assist in housekeeping management tasks such as inventory control of cleaning supplies and equipment upkeep.
Experience
- Proven experience in residential cleaning or housekeeping roles, with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures and sanitation standards.
- Familiarity with various cleaning techniques including carpet cleaning, floor care, dusting, surface sanitation, and outdoor work experience.
- Knowledge of cleaning detergents, equipment operation (such as vacuums, buffers, steam cleaners), and janitorial tools.
- Prior experience in custodial or janitorial roles is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and outdoor work activities.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients about their needs.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail across multiple spaces.
