You will be responsible for subbing as either a Teacher or Teacher Assistant, dependent on the need for the day.
As a Teacher, you will:
- Plan and/or implement daily, weekly, and/or monthly curriculum.
- Supervise children and guide them with respect while nurturing their development.
- Facilitate Family-Style Meal Service during breakfast, snacks, and/or lunch.
- Engage/lead classroom meetings and planning.
- Report directly to the Site Supervisor and/or Program Director any incidents or concerns.
As a Teacher Assistant, you will:
- Assist the teacher with supervision and classroom management.
- Report any concerns to the classroom teacher.
Requirements:
- Associates of Arts, or higher, in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related a degree with a minimum of 12 Units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
- Child Development Associate Teacher Permit, or higher, issued by the CA Commission on Teacher Credentialing (https://www.ctc.ca.gov/credentials/leaflets/cl-797/).
- Ability to pass a federal background check.
- Ability to obtain CPR Certification.
- Negative TB Test.
