American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Saginaw, MI, requiring Neuro PCU experience and an active Michigan RN license.

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting

Neurological PCU patient population

Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:15 AM (12-hour shifts)

36 hours per week
-
Floating required to other PCU and Med/Surg floors as needed

Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
-
No on-call responsibilities
-
Active Michigan (MI) RN license required — must reflect Active status on LARA and/or Nursys
-
Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
-
Active NIHSS certification required
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
-
Neuro PCU experience required
-
Recent travel nursing work history highly preferred
-
2 supervisory reference forms completed within the last 2 years required for consideration

Current skills checklist (within the last year, specific to PCU) required for consideration

Responsibilities include ongoing patient assessment, medication administration, treatments, patient education, and responding to alarms and call lights
-
Functions as a team leader and resource, delegating and providing direction to support staff
-
Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to establish and evaluate patient goals and outcomes
-
Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and hospital-specific policies
-
Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are eligible, but may only complete one 13-week contract at this facility
-
No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested for this assignment
