Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Expo/Food Runner to join our dynamic team. The Expo/Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring our guests receive their orders promptly and accurately, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for guest services.
Responsibilities
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area efficiently and accurately.
- Assist servers by ensuring that all necessary items are available for each table.
- Maintain knowledge of the menu, including ingredients and preparation methods, to answer guest inquiries.
- Monitor the dining area for any additional needs from guests and communicate these needs to the serving staff.
- Ensure that all food safety and handling standards are adhered to at all times.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and service.
- Help maintain cleanliness in the dining area and assist with resetting tables as needed.
- Support banquet services during special events by assisting with food setup and service.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team-oriented atmosphere.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling procedures is essential.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude with a commitment to providing excellent guest services.
- Willingness to assist in various kitchen tasks as needed, including food preparation and assisting cooks.
