- Our team is looking for dedicated part-time Van Drivers like YOU that are ready to join our thriving team. Direct Services, Inc. is a small family-owned business established in 1976 that's still going strong. We are seeking professional part-time company drivers, in which the chosen candidate(s) will need to report to the Wilmington, MA branch. This is a permanent position. Direct Services, Inc. will provide training to the right personnel who can demonstrate a strong motivation and willingness to learn. The selected candidates must be able to pass a DOT Physical, DOT drug screen, and DOT Breath Alcohol Test (BAT) and be able to read, write and speak English. Additionally, the selected candidates may be required to pass an English proficiency test and demonstrate knowledge of common roadside signs in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and DOT regulations. Qualified candidates must have a clean driving record. (Please note: while our DOT-compliant new hire application only requires you to list traffic violations and suspensions from the last three years, some state Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs) may reflect information going back as far as six years. To help us hire safe, insurable drivers, we ask that all applicants disclose any traffic violations, convictions, or suspensions to their hiring manager during the interview process — even if they fall outside the three-year window on the application. Failure to disclose this information may result in the applicant no longer being considered for employment).

About the Role
- The chosen candidate(s) will be operating out of Wilmington, MA.
- The work week for this position is Tuesday , Wednesday and Thursday each week, with a Friday shift on alternate weeks in which the selected candidate will be required to work from 4am to 2pm, depending on work load (please note that driver schedules and route assignments may vary and are subject to change at the company's discretion to meet business and coverage needs).
- The selected candidate(s) will be paid hourly and will receive pay on a bi-weekly payroll schedule.
- Direct Services, Inc. offers a 6-month bonus program based on job performance and safety.
Job Responsibilities
As a part time Van Driver, you will be required to:
- Load and unload crates from company trucks and vans safely and efficiently to support timely operations.
- Handle all crates with care to ensure accuracy, prevent damage, and protect customer satisfaction.
- Sort and stage crates according to assigned delivery routes, and verify placement to improve workflow efficiency and reduce delivery errors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment to promote productivity and compliance with safety standards.
- Responsible for maintaining the quantities and conditions of your vehicle, timed deliveries, monitoring temperatures, and counting cargo.
- Must be able to load/unload freight weighing a maximum of 50lbs.
