Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance to help them find products that meet their needs
- Educate customers on product features, effects, and proper usage through engaging product demos and detailed explanations
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and handle cash register operations with precision
- Upsell products by highlighting new or complementary items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales volume
- Maintain stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and managing inventory to ensure product availability and visual merchandising standards
- Conduct product demos to showcase product quality, usage tips, and benefits, fostering customer confidence in their purchases
- Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations regarding cannabis sales, including verifying customer IDs and adhering to legal purchase limits
- Handle cash drawer with integrity, perform retail math calculations accurately, and manage cash handling procedures responsibly
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries professionally via phone etiquette or in-person interactions
- Assist in merchandising efforts to create attractive displays that promote featured products and seasonal promotions
Experience
- Prior experience in retail sales or customer service roles is preferred, especially within a dispensary or related industry
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills in managing team members or store operations
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math ensures smooth transaction processing
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with customers confidently and clearly explaining product details
- Knowledge of retail store products, merchandising techniques, and stock management enhances your ability to deliver expert guidance
- Experience conducting product demos or promotional activities helps create engaging shopping experiences for customers
