Job Summary
We are actively seeking an Experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic automotive service team. Duties
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, establishing rapport and understanding their vehicle concerns.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and communicate findings clearly to customers.
- Prepare accurate repair estimates using automotive estimating software, including details for oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, tire services, shocks & struts, alignments, and collision repairs.
- Recommend additional services or repairs through effective upselling techniques while ensuring transparency.
- Coordinate with technicians and service teams to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion.
- Maintain detailed service records and update clients on progress throughout the repair process.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments securely.
- Communicate technical information effectively to customers of varying automotive knowledge levels.
- Manage client inquiries regarding vehicle diagnostics, estimates, and repair timelines.
- Utilize computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools for collision repair assessments.
- Support sales efforts by promoting ongoing maintenance plans and service packages.
- Ensure compliance with dealership standards and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Automotive Service Advisor within a dealership or independent auto shop environment.
- Previous experience with CDK and Xtime is required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics and repair procedures.
- Proficiency with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Experience in upselling services such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, suspension work, brake repairs, shocks & struts, and collision repairs.
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes including oil changes, brake systems, suspension components, tire services, shocks & struts replacements, wheel alignments, and collision damage assessment.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and maintain confidentiality.
- Valid driving license with a clean driving record.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and client communication.
