Direct Care Professional
Capstone Adaptive Learning and Therapy is seeking compassionate individuals that want to make a difference in the lives of physically handicapped and mentally disabled adults.
The Direct Care Professional position will be working in a group home setting supporting physically handicapped and mentally disabled adults. Provide personal care assistance as needed to include feeding, bathing, dressing, hygiene and toileting. Prepare nutritous meals according to a meal plan prescribed by a dietician and Manager. Maintain a clean and sanitary environment for residents and safe environment for residents at home and in the community. Transport residents using a agency vehicle to and from day program daily, plus community events and other excursions as necessary. Completes all documentation as required accurately and on a daily basis.
Required:
Must have one year of direct care experience. Demonstrated ability to work well with physically handicapped and mentally disabled adults. Ability to physically lift adult residents. Must have adequate command of language and ability to use initiative within the framework of the Manager's instructions and/or lesson plans.
Must have a valid Florida Driver's License with a good driving record. A High School Diploma, GED or High School Transcripts. Must pass a Level II Background Screening and a Local Background Screening. Must complete CPR/1st Aid Training and Medication Administration Training within the first 90 days of hire.
