Help Shape the Next Chapter of an Established Floral & Event Design Company
We are an established floral and event design company seeking a confident, relationship-driven professional to help expand our presence throughout the corporate, hospitality, wedding, and events industries.
This is not a traditional retail sales position. We're looking for someone who enjoys building meaningful business connections, identifying new opportunities, and representing a creative, service-focused brand with professionalism and confidence.
In this role, you'll cultivate strategic partnerships, develop referral relationships, expand our market presence and territory, and generate qualified opportunities across corporate, hospitality, weddings, private events, and community organizations. Success in this role comes from creating meaningful connections that contribute to the long-term growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Expand our market presence by developing new business opportunities and strategic partnerships throughout the local community.
- Build relationships with restaurants, hotels, country clubs, wedding venues, corporate offices, medical and professional practices, real estate professionals, event planners, and other referral partners.
- Proactively network within the community through business organizations, networking groups, chamber events, industry functions, and local events.
- Visit prospective partners and clients in person to introduce our services and identify opportunities for collaboration.
- Expand and manage an assigned territory while developing new referral sources and business relationships.
- Coordinate qualified consultations with prospective clients.
- Generate qualified opportunities for our corporate, hospitality, wedding, and event teams.
- Maintain organized follow-up, relationship management, and a pipeline of prospective opportunities.
- Represent our company with professionalism, confidence, and enthusiasm while serving as a brand ambassador in the community.
- Be comfortable with regular local travel, business visits, and networking as a core part of the role.
- Identify creative opportunities to increase brand awareness and expand our presence throughout the region.
Qualifications Preferred Experience
- 3+ years of experience in Business Development, Corporate Sales, Account Development, Community Partnerships, Hospitality, Events, or Relationship Management.
- Established professional network within the local business community is strongly preferred.
- Experience within hospitality, weddings, events, luxury services, real estate, tourism, or professional services is highly desirable.
- This position is primarily field-based and community-facing. Candidates should enjoy networking, meeting with local businesses, and spending the majority of their time developing relationships outside of a traditional office environment.

Compensation
This is a flexible Independent Contractor Role
This opportunity includes a monthly Business Development Retainer designed to support ongoing networking, relationship development, territory expansion, prospecting, and community engagement.
In addition, performance-based bonuses are paid for new business that results in booked projects, recurring corporate accounts, hospitality partnerships, event contracts, and other strategic business opportunities.
Approximately 5–15 flexible hours per week to start, with opportunity for continued growth as the business expands.
