George Hildebrandt, Inc. is a family owned and operated trucking company, and we are looking to hire a full-time Regional Safety Manager. The Regional Safety Manager will support the company in creating and maintaining a culture that truly puts safety first. This includes direct engagement with our fleet of owner-operators, and company drivers assuring compliance with all FMCSA and State DOT regulations, monitoring changes in applicable law and regulations, and developing and implementing procedures and practices that effectively manage risk. The Regional Safety Manager shall have a comprehensive knowledge of DOT, EPA, and OSHA regulations as well as the FMCSA and its components. This position must also have knowledge of fleet safety, accident investigations and insurance certifications. The Safety Manager will report directly to the Safety Director.
Must have 1 + years of Experience in the following.
- Trucking Transportation Safety Manager Experience.
- Trucking Safety Manager Experience.
- Experience in dealing with Accident Investigation.
- Knowledge of Drug/Alcohol and the ClearingHouse rules and procedures.
- Must be able to travel as needed.
- Conduct company safety meetings as required.
- HOS Regulations (Hours of Service)
Other Job Responsibilities Include:
- Ensure DOT specific safety policies and procedures are managed.
- Flexibility to work as needed to answer accident calls during off-hours and weekends.
- Minimizes the safety risks through monitoring and acting on all insurance claims, loss reports, corrective actions, recommendations/deficiencies, and resolution reports.
- Assist with monitoring FMCSA scores and develop and implement proactive programs of action to continually improve performance and address deficiencies.
- Assist in the administration of the Federal Drug and Alcohol Testing Program.
- Demonstrated effective adult training techniques, teaching, and instruction for individuals and groups, as well as the measurement of training effectiveness.
- Strong analytical, leadership, teamwork, and customer service skills as demonstrated by previous work experience.
- Excellent verbal/written communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
