Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable, vigilant, and disciplined Security Guard to oversee and protect our yard operations on Friday and Saturday nights. You will be responsible for securing the facility, monitoring access gates, conducting regular perimeter patrols, and ensuring all company assets and equipment remain safe and secure overnight.
Key Responsibilities
- Access Control: Monitor entrance gates, log incoming and outgoing vehicles/personnel, and verify authorization.
- Yard Patrols: Conduct regular, documented foot or vehicle patrols of the yard perimeter, buildings, and equipment.
- Asset Protection: Deter theft, vandalism, trespassing, and unauthorized entry.
- Incident Reporting: Immediately document and report any suspicious activity, safety hazards, property damage, or security breaches to management.
- Compliance & Safety: Enforce company safety rules, security policies, and yard procedures at all times.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age (or 21+ depending on company policy).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Active Security Guard Registration/License (if required by state law).
- Proven experience as a security guard or in a similar security role preferred.
- Ability to work overnight shifts consistently without attendance issues.
- Strong attention to detail, observational skills, and sound judgment.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol outdoors in various weather conditions.
Work Schedule
- Friday Night: 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM (Saturday morning)
- Saturday Night: 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM (Sunday morning)
- Total: 18 hours per week
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
