Part-Time Front Counter Cashier
Job Overview
Pizza City is hiring a fast, accurate, and reliable part-time front counter cashier who can also pack and organize orders while drivers are out on deliveries. This is a hands-on role that directly affects speed, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
We run a high-volume shop with a small team. During rushes, the front counter must work closely with the kitchen to keep tickets moving.
If you’re slow, distracted, or careless with details, this job will expose it quickly.
This position is intended for someone seeking dependable part-time work who will remain productive throughout every scheduled shift.
What You’ll Do:
- Take customer orders in-store and over the phone with clear communication
- Enter orders into the POS accurately, including sizes, modifications, sauces, deals, and notes
- Handle cash, card payments, and refunds correctly
- Pack, label, and organize orders for pickup and delivery
- Coordinate with the kitchen to confirm orders are complete before dispatch
- Manage pickup flow by verifying names, confirming items, and handing off the correct orders
- Keep the front counter, packing area, and lobby clean, organized, and stocked
- Complete cleaning, stocking, and other assigned tasks during slower periods
- Recommend add-ons and upgrades such as drinks, fries, desserts, and extra sauces
- Encourage customers to use direct online ordering when appropriate

Requirements
- Seeking part-time employment and able to report reliably for scheduled shifts
- Strong communication skills in person and over the phone
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Cash-handling confidence and basic math ability
- Comfortable using POS systems; previous experience is a plus
- Ability to stand, move quickly, and lift light-medium weight items as needed
- Previous food-service, cashier, or retail experience preferred, but not required for fast learners
- Bilingual is a plus
- Must relocate or commute reliably to Salisbury, MD 21804
