Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Captain with a fine-dining background to join our team. As a Captain, you will be responsible for providing an excellent dining experience and guest satisfaction. Basic knowledge of wine, classic cocktails, and different cuisine styles is a must.
We serve an elegant menu as well as an 8-course tasting menu every night. Service is very detail oriented and requires a lot of Captain involvement. The ideal candidate would be able to multitask and maintain attention to detail.
- Guide guests through the menu and be able to answer guests' questions
- Take food and drink orders accurately and promptly
- Deliver and present dishes to your guests and explain each dish they receive
- Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance the dining experience
- Provide exceptional guest service throughout the meal
- Clear tables efficiently throughout service
- Operate Toast POS system and handle cash sales.
- At least 1 year of previous experience in fine dining
- Knowledge of fine dining etiquette and practices
- Ability to handle food safely and follow health and safety guidelines
- Strong communication skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Proficiency in basic wine and cocktail knowledge
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
