Job Summary:
The Mechanical Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects from concept through completion. This role involves technical design, project management, team coordination, and client interaction to ensure timely delivery of high-quality engineering solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Have a fundamental understanding of engineering concepts, machine design, and stress and strain analysis calculations.
- Conform to all applicable design specifications and maintain detailed records.
- Detailing and designing systems, layouts, and repair procedures.
- Ability to collect data using micrometers, calipers, and measuring tape and data analysis.
- Coordinate with sales team to propose work.
- Coordinate and manage projects from start to finish.
- Direct and supervise subcontractors and technicians to complete projects.
- Planning and preparation of material orders and delivery.
- Maintain deadlines and budgets to the demands of the customer.
- Abide by safety policies of Simmers Crane Design & Services, the customer, and OSHA standards.
- Prepare documentation such as invoicing and project closeout.
- Act individually and in a group environment.
- React in a timely manner to solve problems in stressful situations.
