Part-Time Janitorial Professional - Illinois Building Services – Downers Grove, IL
Illinois Building Services is hiring a dependable, detail-oriented Janitorial Professional for a part-time position working 4 hours per day at our Downers Grove office. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment in a large office facility that includes offices, restrooms, hallways, and eating/kitchen areas. Local candidates are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
- Dusting and polishing surfaces
- Cleaning bathrooms and restocking paper products
- Emptying garbage cans and receptacles inside and outside the building
- Damp wiping surfaces
- Performing high-touch point cleaning
- Helping maintain cleanliness in office, hallway, restroom, and kitchen/eating areas
Qualifications
- Previous janitorial, custodial, or facility cleaning experience preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and safe use of cleaning chemicals.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and complete assigned tasks thoroughly within a 4-hour daily shift.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
- Local candidates are preferred to support consistent attendance and timely arrival.

Schedule and Compensation
This is a part-time position scheduled for 4 hours per day. Shift timing may vary based on facility needs. Compensation is competitive and based on experience.
