Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pantry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment and a strong understanding of food preparation and management. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality dishes that meet our fine dining standards. You will work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure that all meals are prepared efficiently and consistently.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning ingredients.
- Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation to ensure it meets restaurant standards.
- Collaborate with the head chef and kitchen team to manage food production schedules.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food handling and storage.
- Participate in inventory management, including tracking supplies and placing orders as needed.
- Contribute to menu development by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar culinary role is preferred.
- Knowledge of fine dining practices and techniques is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with food management systems and catering operations is a plus.
- Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on food production and presentation.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while managing individual responsibilities.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
