Little Leaps Early Childhood Dance is seeking experienced, passionate instructors to join our team for our Fall 2026 season beginning in August.
At Little Leaps, we believe dance lessons teach life lessons. We go beyond teaching steps and technique to help children build confidence, creativity, independence, kindness, and a lifelong love of movement. If you love working with young children and believe learning should be developmentally appropriate, engaging, and fun, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
This is a part-time, in-person teaching position working primarily with children ages 2–6 in our Wilmington, NC studio. Afternoon, evening, and occasional weekend teaching opportunities are available.
We're Looking For Instructors With
- Experience teaching dance or movement to children ages 2–6 (required)
- A background in one or more of the following: Creative Movement, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern, or Musical Theater
- Strong classroom management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professionalism, reliability, and punctuality
The Ideal Candidate
You are energetic, patient, creative, and genuinely enjoy working with young children. You understand that success in an early childhood dance class looks different than success in a teen technique class, and you know how to meet children where they are while helping them grow.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
