Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble components for menu items following established recipes and standards
- Cook a variety of dishes with precision, ensuring consistency and quality in every plate
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques
- Handle food safely during preparation, storage, and service to prevent contamination or spoilage
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food and ensuring timely delivery
- Serve dishes efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude and excellent customer service standards
Experience
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable
- Proven background in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service with a focus on quality and efficiency
- Knowledge of food handling procedures, safety protocols, and sanitation practices in a commercial kitchen setting
- Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and food industry standards
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques are preferred
- Experience working in catering or large-scale food service environments is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
