Tax Accountant – CPA Firm/Entertainment Clients
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant / Business Manager to support high-net-worth individuals, entertainers, artists, executives, and production-related clients. This role combines tax preparation, financial management, client service, and business advisory support for clients with complex income streams, royalty payments, touring income, production compensation, investments, and business entities.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns for entertainment industry clients.
· Manage client books, cash flow, budgets, and financial reporting for artists, performers, producers, executives, and related entities.
· Track and reconcile income from multiple sources, including royalties, residuals, touring, appearances, production payments, investments, and endorsements.
· Coordinate quarterly tax estimates, year-end tax planning, and compliance deadlines.
· Communicate with clients, agents, attorneys, managers, payroll providers, studios, and outside advisors.
· Review contracts, deal memos, and payment schedules from a financial and tax perspective.
· Assist with entity structuring, loan-out companies, expense classification, deductions, and business management best practices.
· Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, insurance, and personal/business expenses.
· Prepare financial statements, management reports, net worth summaries, and client-facing updates.
· Maintain accurate records while ensuring confidentiality, discretion, and responsive client service.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
· CPA, or progress toward certification preferred.
· Experience in public accounting, business management.
· Strong understanding of individual and entity taxation, bookkeeping, financial statements, and tax planning.
· Experience working with high-net-worth clients, entertainers, creatives, or clients with multiple income streams is a plus.
· Proficiency with accounting and tax software such as QuickBooks, CCH, Lacerte, ProSystem fx, UltraTax, Excel, and related platforms.
· Excellent organization, communication, analytical, and client-service skills.
· Ability to manage multiple deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and work with a high level of accuracy.

Pay: $110,629.00 - $160,750.02 per year
