Responsibilities
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to efficiently clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools while adhering to food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks, including handling ingredients and supporting cooks as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by regularly cleaning work surfaces, floors, and storage spaces in accordance with sanitation standards.
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing trash, and ensuring dining areas are tidy for guests.
- Follow proper manual handling techniques when lifting heavy pots, pans, or boxes to prevent injury and ensure safety protocols are met.
- Ensure compliance with kitchen health and safety standards by practicing proper sanitation, food handling, and hygiene procedures at all times.
- Assist in operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining a focus on food safety management practices.
Skills
- Strong understanding of food safety protocols and sanitation procedures within a restaurant setting.
