Outpatient behavioral health organization providing treatment for substance use disorders, mental health disorders, and co-occurring conditions through PHP, IOP, and OP levels of care.
We are seeking an experienced, licensed clinician to serve as our Clinical Supervisor. This is a leadership role responsible for overseeing all clinical operations, supervising staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and helping expand high-quality behavioral healthcare services.
The ideal candidate is an organized leader who enjoys mentoring clinicians, improving systems, and maintaining a culture of clinical excellence.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight of all outpatient clinical services.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop therapists, counselors, interns, and clinical support staff.
- Conduct individual and group clinical supervision in accordance with New Jersey regulations.
- Review assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, and clinical documentation for quality and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with NJ licensing standards, Joint Commission standards, CARF accreditation standards, ASAM Criteria, DSM-5, HIPAA, and payer requirements.
- Lead weekly clinical team meetings, case consultations, and treatment planning.
- Assist with admissions, level-of-care determinations, and utilization review.
- Monitor clinical outcomes, documentation quality, productivity, and performance metrics.
- Develop and implement clinical policies, procedures, and evidence-based practices.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and annual performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with psychiatry, nursing, operations, and executive leadership to ensure continuity of care.
- Support program development and implementation of new behavioral health services.
- Assist with state audits, accreditation surveys, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a limited clinical caseload as needed to support program operations.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related behavioral health field.
- Active New Jersey license required (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist, or other independently licensed behavioral health professional) to provide supervision to licensed and intern level clinicians for substance use and mental health (CCS).
- Minimum five years of behavioral health experience.
- Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Experience treating both substance use disorders and mental health disorders.
- Strong knowledge of ASAM Criteria, DSM-5, motivational interviewing, CBT, and evidence-based treatment.
- Experience with commercial insurance, utilization management, and electronic medical records preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $89,000.00 per year
