firstPRO is hiring a Desktop Services PC Technician for a growing organization in the Greater Reading, PA area. We are seeking a dependable and motivated IT professional to provide hands-on desktop support, workstation deployments, and end-user technical assistance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with technology and end users in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Configure, image, reimage, and deploy desktop and laptop computers.
- Install and configure monitors, docking stations, printers, and other peripheral equipment.
- Perform software installations, upgrades, and data transfers.
- Provide deskside support by troubleshooting desktop hardware and software issues.
- Set up workstations for new hires and replacement equipment.
- Support office moves by disconnecting, relocating, and reconnecting IT equipment.
- Manage and prioritize support requests through a ticketing system.
- Coordinate directly with end users to schedule equipment deployments and resolve technical issues.
- Partner with internal IT teams to ensure timely resolution of support requests.
- Adapt to changing priorities and provide excellent customer service in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of desktop support or PC technician experience.
- Hands-on experience with PC imaging and reimaging.
- Experience installing and supporting desktop software.
- Experience providing deskside technical support.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Intune, ServiceNow, Eracent, or similar endpoint management or ticketing platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer service focus.
- Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment and walk between work locations throughout the day.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting workstation deployments and office relocations.
- Experience working in an enterprise IT support environment.
