The M/C Specialist focuses on creating a safe environment within the facility. This position completes the daily responsibilities of operations, maintains the property, coordinates and manages maintenance and repairs. To be successful as a building manager, you should have excellent organizational and project management skills to ensure that the property is in compliance with applicable regulations and building codes. A top-notch building manager should be able to respond to and resolve any issues reported to them efficiently.
Essential Functions of the Role:
· Oversees daily cleaning and closing duties.
· Cleans the building daily (common areas, kitchen, bathrooms, classrooms, etc.) to ensure a clean and professional work environment.
· Maintains grounds.
· Completes supply checklist and submits supply order to ensure proper inventory is always on hand.
· Maintenance duties such as assembling equipment, changing light bulbs, fixing doors, fixing broken items, waxing floors, repairing tiles, painting, yard maintenance (including mowing) etc.
· Submits work orders and follows through to ensure completion of the project.
· Monitors compliance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
· GED or high school diploma
· At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
· Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and building codes.
· Excellent project management and negotiation skills.
· Good communication and customer service skills.
· Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to lift more than 50lb regularly.
