Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MRI Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques, anatomy, and physiology, as well as the ability to provide exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI scans according to established protocols while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and diagnostic evaluations.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation related to imaging procedures.
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of MRI equipment, adhering to safety standards.
- Educate patients about the MRI process, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
- Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology, including CT, DEXA scans, and sonography.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited MRI technologist program or equivalent training.
- Certification in MRI technology from a recognized professional organization is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation processes.
- Experience with CT and US scanning is a plus.
- Familiarity with sonography techniques is advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for maintaining accurate records and ensuring high-quality imaging results.
