Responsibilities
- Serve food and beverages efficiently and courteously to guests during events, ensuring timely delivery and presentation.
- Assist with setting up tables, buffet stations, and serving areas in accordance with event specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas, including bussing tables and clearing dishes promptly.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, including wines and beverages, to enhance guest experience.
- Handle cash and POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for beverage and food sales when applicable.
- Support food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling and sanitation procedures throughout service.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of events, addressing guest needs proactively and professionally.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry or hospitality is highly desirable, especially in banquet or fine dining settings.
- Strong guest service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that fosters positive guest relations.
- Knowledge of food handling, beverage service, wine knowledge, and basic math for accurate transactions.
- Experience with catering events, food preparation, or restaurant service is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, move quickly between tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with POS systems and drink service techniques preferred.
- Commitment to food safety standards and excellent customer service principles.
