Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Crew Lead in New Albany, OH. The Crew Lead is a leadership position responsible for overseeing on-site teams to ensure high-quality performance and adherence to safety standards on complex communications projects. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, ambitious professional who can manage project timelines and technical execution with minimal supervision. This role serves as a critical link between field operations and project management, driving productivity while maintaining professional client relations.

Pay: $27 to $33 Per Hour BOE
Responsibilities:
- Manage and direct on-site project crews to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and meet quality standards.
- Coordinate daily with Project Managers to align on productivity goals, budget compliance, and project schedules.
- Promote a culture of safety by conducting weekly safety meetings and ensuring adherence to all site-specific safety protocols.
- Oversee the installation, termination, and testing of structured cabling systems, including copper and fiber optics.
- Accurately complete and submit all required project documentation including timesheets, work orders, and change orders.
- Act as the primary on-site point of contact for clients and stakeholders, addressing questions and concerns professionally.
- Perform routine quality checks and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise on the job site.
- Mentor and provide on-the-job training to junior technicians to support skill growth and team development.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to guide the crew in precise installation work.
- Ensure all tools, materials, and equipment are accounted for and maintained in good working condition.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a lead or supervisory role within the communications or low-voltage cabling industry.
- Self-motivated and driven professional capable of operating effectively without constant supervision.
- Strong technical expertise in structured cabling infrastructure and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills; bilingual abilities are considered a strong plus.
- Possess a proactive, 'hungry' approach to career growth and project success.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve field issues independently.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license for travel to assigned job sites.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally move up to 75 pounds.
- Must be comfortable working at heights and climbing ladders up to 20 feet.
- Ability to see and distinguish different cable colors and read small print on technical labels.
- Physical capability to work in tight or confined spaces when required by the project scope.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination necessary to operate hand tools and manage small components.
Pay Transparency:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $27 to $33 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
