In this vital role, you will support the housekeeping department by maintaining pristine guest areas, assisting with cleaning operations, and upholding safety protocols. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, hallways, public areas, and service spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and chemical agents while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines.
- Handle and store cleaning chemicals safely, following all safety procedures to prevent accidents or contamination.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture, supplies, or equipment to support housekeeping operations.
- Maintain floor care by sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing surfaces to ensure a spotless appearance.
- Support hotel housekeeping management by organizing supplies, restocking linens, and ensuring cleanliness standards are met consistently.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns to protect guests and staff.
- Conduct janitorial and industrial cleaning tasks with precision, ensuring all areas meet health and hygiene standards.
Requirements
- Proven custodial or janitorial experience within a hospitality or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care methods, and chemical handling procedures aligned with safety data sheets (SDS).
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and standards.
- Experience with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
