Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Commercial Appliance technicians specializing in Refrigeration, and other hot-side equipment such as Stoves and Dishwasher. The ideal candidate will have a background with major American and European appliance brands; and will be responsible for communicating with customers about their appliance issues as well as diagnosing problems and repairing them.
For Immediate Employment: Appliance Technician (Refrigeration & Hot-Side)
Areas Served: New York City (All five boroughs)
Schedule: Daily scheduled calls (Mondays – Fridays; Emergencies/On-Call)
This position is responsible for maintenance and repair of commercial and/or residential refrigeration equipment, and or stoves and dishwashers. Successful candidate will be expected to repair a wide range of appliances and be willing to learn and improve there skills.
Responsibilities:
1) Troubleshoots and repairs primarily Commercial refrigeration equipment
2) Provide superior customer service through communication to customers
3) Communicates with office to ensure successful completion of job
4) Follow through on all administrative requirements to complete billing cycle
5) Monitors truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked on vehicle for 1st time fix
6) Maintains service vehicle, tools, and uniforms
7) Meets on-call requirements
8) Increase knowledge by attending manufacturer and company provided training
Requirements:
a) High school graduate/GED or the equivalent in experience
b) Proven experience in repairing commercial kitchen equipment; and/or commercial refrigeration equipment; and/or commercial appliances. Will consider HVAC experience
c) Any manufacturer’s certification is a plus
d) CFESA Certification is a big plus (not mandatory)
e) Excellent customer service skills
f) Valid license and healthy driving record
g) EPA Certification for refrigeration techs
h) Ability to work independently
i) Dependability
j) Stable work history

Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
