Position Overview
Terralink Institute for Education and Research (TIER) is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Publication / Graphic Designer to support the design and production of books, journals, and promotional materials in both English and Arabic.
This role works closely with the publishing, editorial, and marketing teams to deliver high-quality, visually compelling, and culturally appropriate materials across print and digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Layout
- Design and format books, flyers, reports, and other publications in both English and Arabic
- Ensure professional layout, readability, and alignment with brand standards
Publication Production
- Prepare print-ready and digital files for production
- Coordinate with editorial and production teams to meet publishing standards
Cover & Graphic Design
- Create book covers and promotional graphics tailored to the content and target audience
- Maintain visual consistency across all publications
Collaboration
- Work closely with authors, editors, translators, and marketing staff
- Incorporate feedback and refine designs throughout the production process
Digital Publishing
- Prepare publications for digital platforms, including eBooks, PDFs, and online distribution channels
Brand Compliance
- Ensure all designs adhere to TIER’s branding guidelines and visual identity
Additional Duties
- Perform other design and publication-related tasks as needed to support the publishing program
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English (required)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Associate’s degree or certificate in Graphic Design, Publishing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Demonstrated experience in publication and graphic design in both English and Arabic
- Strong portfolio showcasing book and publication design work
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and relevant design software
- Strong understanding of Arabic typography and layout conventions
- Experience preparing files for both print and digital publishing
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment• Familiarity with publishing workflows and editorial processes
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
- Experience with eBook formats (EPUB, Kindle) is a plus
Reporting Structure
This position reports to the Associate Director of Publications / Director of Marketing.
