Summary:
The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that employees of the organization are paid accurately and on time. Other duties include managing backend data relating to the hours worked by an employee matched with their pay periods and hourly wages, salaries, overtime, sick days, and vacation days.
Responsibilities:
- Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information and interacting with HR
- Distribute hourly and salaried associate payments on time and accurately
- Maintain accurate records of payments made to the associate
- Liaise with the HR department and accounts department to ensure accurate information for payment
- Prepare reports that include summaries of earnings, tax deductions, leave, compassionate leave, and non-taxable wages
- File relevant reports and documents as needed
- Verify associate payroll records and consult departments in the event of a discrepancy
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, or year-end calculations of bonuses and other salary-based compensation
- Maintain all payroll operations according to company policies and procedures
- Comply with the company's drug-free and tobacco/nicotine-free policy
- All other duties as assigned
Experience/Qualifications:
- 1+ years of payroll, HR, accounting, or related experience in payroll calculation and completion preferred.
- Experience resolving payroll discrepancies.
- Ability to lift to 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. infrequently
- Must be able to legally work in the USA.
Education and Certification(s)/License(s):
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field preferred.
