Experienced Sheet Metal Mechanic, you will be responsible for fabricating, installing, and repairing sheet metal products and structures. You will work with a variety of materials and tools, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards. This role requires a high level of technical skill and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal products according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications.
- Operate various metalworking tools and equipment with precision.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on existing metal structures and systems.
- Ensure work meets quality standards and complies with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during fabrication or installation.
- MUST BE ABLE TO FIELD MEASURE
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in sheet metal fabrication preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a sheet metal mechanic.
- Proficient in operating sheet metal tools and machinery.
- Strong mathematical and mechanical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of safety practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
