The Greer Group has a great Direct Hire opportunity in the Winchester, Virginia area for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic !
This role is with a well-established and growing manufacturing organization that is a leading producer of PET beverage bottles and preforms, supporting major beverage brands across the East Coast and Midwest. Position Summary:
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for equipment setup, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of blow molding and/or injection systems, as well as other plant equipment. This role partners closely with production teams to ensure safe, efficient operations that meet quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform equipment setup, changeovers, troubleshooting, and repairs
- Conduct preventative maintenance on production equipment
- Ensure equipment is operating safely and meeting quality standards
- Respond to maintenance calls in a timely and professional manner
- Monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues
- Perform building maintenance and support facility systems as needed
- Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on forklifts and related equipment
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and blueprints
- Repair and rebuild machine parts as needed
- Complete required testing and documentation
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all safety, quality, and compliance standards
- Participate in training and continuous improvement efforts
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required (trade school preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience
- Experience with injection molding or similar manufacturing processes preferred
- Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and control systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment independently
- Experience using CMMS or work order systems preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Schedule:
1st Shift: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, 2 days on, 2 days off
2nd Shift: 7:00 pm - 7:00 am, 2 days on, 2 days off
