Join our vibrant hospitality team as a Busser/Host, where your energy and enthusiasm will set the tone for an exceptional dining experience! In this dynamic role, you’ll be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and comfortable from the moment they arrive. You’ll assist in maintaining a clean and organized environment, support the serving staff by bussing tables efficiently, and help create a lively, inviting atmosphere that keeps guests coming back. Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements to optimize flow and comfort
- Clear and clean tables promptly using safe manual handling practices to prepare for new guests
- Assist servers by bussing tables, refilling water glasses, and delivering food or beverages as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including sweeping floors, wiping surfaces, and ensuring restrooms are tidy
- Support kitchen staff with basic food handling tasks during busy service times
- Handle heavy lifting safely when moving chairs, tables, or supplies around the restaurant or catering setup
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth service operations and guest satisfaction
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Familiarity with hospitality standards, including food handling and customer service skills, is advantageous
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and physical activity throughout shifts
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with guests and team members
- Experience working in catering, hotel settings, or the food industry will be considered a plus
- Knowledge of safe lifting practices and cleaning procedures ensures a safe working environment for all team members
