Overview
Join our dynamic mental health team as an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) Counselor, where you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive behavioral health services to diverse populations. Duties
- Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Implement crisis management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to ensure client safety during acute episodes.
- Deliver specialized counseling services including grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, gender issues counseling, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations while utilizing medical terminology effectively for patient care documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for case management, patient assessment, and clinical research initiatives to enhance treatment outcomes.
- Utilize telehealth platforms to extend accessible mental health services while adhering to best practices in virtual patient care.
Skills
- Proven expertise in psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy.
- Strong experience in crisis intervention, crisis management, and behavior management strategies.
- Skilled in working with children, adolescents, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities or special needs within outpatient or inpatient settings.
- Knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9 and ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to behavioral health and mental health counseling.
- Ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations using standardized tools for mental health assessment.
