We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Resident Experience Specialist who enjoys making a positive impact in the lives of older adults. The Resident Experience Specialist elevates the quality of life for residents in our senior living community. This dynamic role focuses on creating a vibrant, engaging, and supportive environment where residents feel valued, connected, and cared for. This role focuses on providing exceptional daily care, creating meaningful resident experiences, and helping residents maintain dignity, independence, and joy.
The Resident Experience Specialist works closely with the Resident Experience Lead to ensure every resident feels safe, respected, and at home.

Responsibilities
Resident Care
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfers, and mobility.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with meals, hydration, and medication reminders.
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to the Resident Experience Lead or Administrator.
- Maintain resident dignity, privacy, and independence.
Resident Engagement
- Lead and participate in daily activities, games, crafts, exercise, music, and conversation.
- Encourage social interaction and resident participation.
- Assist with decorating, celebrations, and special events.
- Help create a warm, welcoming, and engaging home environment.
Team Support
- Work collaboratively with the Resident Experience Lead and fellow caregivers.
- Maintain accurate documentation.
- Assist with housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and state regulations.
- Plan and coordinate engaging resident events and activities that promote socialization, cognitive stimulation, and overall well-being.
- Develop personalized care plans in collaboration with nursing staff to support residents’ unique needs, including Alzheimer’s and dementia care.
- Foster strong rapport with residents by providing compassionate support during daily interactions and assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Lead team efforts in recreational therapy programs designed to enhance mental health and physical activity among seniors.
- Manage resident schedules, coordinate appointments, and ensure seamless communication between residents, families, and care teams.
- Assist with aging issues counseling by providing resources and emotional support tailored to individual circumstances.
- Oversee the planning and execution of community events that encourage resident participation and foster a sense of belonging.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of proven experience working with seniors in assisted living or nursing home environments, with a focus on geriatrics and memory care.
- Experience in event planning, recreational therapy, or program development tailored to older adults with disabilities or dementia.
- Demonstrated ability to build meaningful resident rapport through effective communication skills and empathetic caregiving.
- Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents safely
- Experience in assisted living, memory care, home care, or long-term care preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools for documentation, scheduling, and communication purposes.
- Compassionate, dependable, patient, and positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Experience working with geriatric patients requiring specialized dementia or Alzheimer’s care is highly desirable.
- Valid Driver's License required.
