American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in Coastal Virginia, requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.

Hospital-based Med/Surg Tele unit (5 East) with an Oncology, Med/Surg, Tele, and Vascular Access patient population

Patient ratio is 1:7
-
Required skills include IV starts and telemetry interpretation

Epic EMR proficiency is required — no exceptions
-
Night shift, 3x12 or 4x12 schedule available — candidates should indicate their preference

Schedule includes weekdays, every other weekend, floating, and holiday coverage within the contract
-
Blocked schedule requests cannot be accommodated on this unit

13-week contract with possibility of extension

Active VA or Compact RN license currently in hand — no exceptions

BLS certification through the American Heart Association required

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; travel experience preferred

Proficiency with Epic EMR required — no exceptions

Demonstrated skills in IV insertion and telemetry interpretation

No license or background hits of any kind will be considered

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — current address must be provided

Two professional references required for consideration

Provide direct patient care in a combined Oncology, Med/Surg, Tele, and Vascular Access unit

Floating is required as part of this assignment
