Eagle Rock Resort is a 6000 acre private golf community. We’re looking for a hands-on, experienced Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager for our upscale casual restaurant. You will help lead daily kitchen operations, maintain high culinary standards, and support a positive, efficient team environment. This role blends culinary leadership with operational oversight—ideal for someone who thrives both on the line and behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations
- Lead, train, and motivate kitchen staff to ensure consistency and quality
- Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships
- Maintain food cost controls and minimize waste
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Oversee scheduling and labor management
- Step in on the line during service as needed
- Help develop and refine menus, specials, and recipes
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership kitchen role (Chef, Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Proven ability to manage food and labor costs
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay composed under pressure
- Culinary degree preferred but not required
