Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, slicers, mixers, and other culinary tools
- Assist with menu planning by providing input on ingredient selection and dish presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards throughout the shift
- Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure safety
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff through clear communication to coordinate meal preparation and service
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality control
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or dietary departments is highly preferred
- Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques for efficient food preparation
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards during production
- Experience with meal preparation, recipe adherence, and food handling procedures
- Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and effectively
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members in a fast-paced environment
- Culinary experience or training that demonstrates proficiency in cooking techniques and food industry standards is a plus
