Staff Accountant

About the Role:
iwis drive systems, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This role is primarily responsible for the full-cycle Accounts Payable process while also providing support for Accounts Receivable, month-end close activities, reconciliations, and other accounting functions.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial records, timely vendor payments, and efficient accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities

Manage the full-cycle Accounts Payable process. (Primary Responsibility)

Process vendor invoices, payments, expense reports, ACH transactions, and wire transfers.

Maintain accurate vendor records and documentation.

Process employee credit card transactions and expense reimbursements.

Ensure timely and accurate payment processing while maintaining compliance with company policies.
Accounts Receivable Support

Monitor customer accounts and assist with invoice processing.

Support collections efforts by following up on outstanding balances.

Review aging reports and assist in resolving delinquent accounts.

Maintain accurate customer account records.
General Accounting

Perform account and bank reconciliations.

Assist with month-end close activities.

Prepare and post journal entries as needed.

Process debit and credit notes.

Support general ledger accounting functions.

Assist with electronic billing and audit requests.

Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.

Support continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting department.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience with a strong emphasis on Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.

Experience with accounting software such as SAP, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems.

Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and reconciliations.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
Preferred

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

10+ years of accounting experience.

Experience with treasury management systems.

Experience in a manufacturing environment.
