Job Summary

Duties
- Coordinate between kitchen staff and front-of-house team to facilitate timely food delivery
- Verify order accuracy and quality before serving, ensuring all dishes meet presentation standards
- Communicate effectively with cooks, servers, and management to prioritize orders and resolve issues swiftly
- Manage food flow by organizing and expediting dishes from the kitchen to ensure prompt service
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including plating and garnishing to enhance presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expediting station in compliance with food safety standards
- Support bussing and cleaning efforts to uphold a hygienic and efficient work environment
Skills
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and servers
- Experience in food preparation, expediting, or food service roles within restaurants or hotels
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and handling procedures
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a high-pressure setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems for order tracking and management
- Excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple orders simultaneously
- Basic numeracy skills for managing order quantities and timing schedules
- Previous banquet or catering experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility in food service environments
- Hospitality background with customer service experience that emphasizes positive guest interactions
