Security & Fire Alarm Service Technician / Programmer
Secure Oklahoma Security Systems is looking for an experienced security systems technician to join our growing team.
We already have installers who handle cabling and the physical installation. We need an experienced finisher/service technician who can take an installed system across the finish line by programming, testing, troubleshooting, training the customer, and completing final system turnover.
This position will also handle service calls for existing customers.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Program and commission commercial camera systems
- Program and service burglar/intrusion alarm systems
- Program, test, troubleshoot, and service fire alarm systems
- Configure cameras, NVRs, alarm panels, keypads, sensors, communicators, and related equipment
- Troubleshoot wiring, programming, communication, networking, and equipment issues
- Handle service calls, repairs, upgrades, and system modifications
- Connect systems to customer networks, mobile apps, and remote services
- Test completed installations and verify proper system operation
- Train customers and end users
- Work with our installers to resolve installation or programming issues
- Document programming and service work
- Make sure every system is fully operational before the job is considered complete
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
This is not an entry-level installer position.
We are looking for someone with professional security-system experience who can independently program, troubleshoot, and service systems.
Experience with the following is preferred:
- Commercial fire alarm systems
- Burglar/intrusion alarms
- IP cameras and NVRs
- System programming and commissioning
- Low-voltage troubleshooting
- Basic networking and IP configuration
- Customer training
- Service calls and repairs
Fire alarm experience is strongly preferred.
Experience with access control, intercom systems, or other commercial low-voltage systems is a plus.

REQUIREMENTS
- Previous professional security-system experience
- Fire alarm experience strongly preferred
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass applicable background checks
- Ability to obtain and maintain required licenses and certifications
- Comfortable using laptops, programming software, testing equipment, ladders, and hand tools
- Willing to travel to customer locations throughout our service area

SCHEDULE
Full-time or Part-time
Primarily Monday through Friday
Some travel and occasional after-hours service may be required
