Home Style Builders Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented Finish Trades Specialist & Concrete Grinding & Polishing Technician to join our finish trades team. We specialize in high-end residential and commercial builds. You won’t just be "doing construction"—you will be responsible for the final aesthetic of our floors, transforming raw slabs into polished, architectural features.
Key Responsibilities
- Concrete Artistry: Operate planetary grinders and high-speed polishers to transform raw slabs into architectural features, following the process from 30-grit grinding to 3000-grit polishing.
- Drywall & Skim Coating: Expertly hang, tape, and mud drywall. Deliver high-end Level 5 skim coat finishes (perfectly smooth walls) and custom textures as required.
- Fine Painting: Execute professional-grade interior and exterior painting, including precise trim work, cabinet finishing, and airless sprayer operation.
- Surface Preparation: Patch cracks, fill joints, apply densifiers/sealers, and ensure all substrates are perfectly prepped for the final finish.
- Equipment & Safety: Maintain grinders, HEPA dust extraction systems, and sprayers. Strictly follow Cal/OSHA Silica and Lead standards to ensure a clean, safe environment.
- Reporting: Coordinate daily with the Project Coordinator (Nya) regarding milestones, material stock, and project timelines.
Requirements
- Multi-Trade Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in concrete polishing, drywall finishing, and professional painting.
- Eye for Detail: A "zero-defect" mentality with the ability to identify and fix minor imperfections before they reach the client.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to move heavy grinding equipment and work on ladders/scaffolding for 8 hours.
- Technical Skill: Ability to read blueprints and finish schedules; familiarity with epoxy, plaster, and high-performance coatings.
- Compliance: Valid CA Driver’s License and a clean driving record.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $31.25 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
