American Gold Tour is a gold & jewelry buying business expanding into Greater Dallas, TX area. We're opening new office in the North and West from Dallas, and we're hiring our first two Gold Buyers to launch these locations — running scheduled client meetings, evaluating precious metals, and building trust with customers.
We're expanding from Austin and San Antonio into other cities, with a 5/5 customer rating from our clients so far.
The role starts part-time with the target to grow into a full-time position.
Flexible schedule — we offer work Monday through Sunday, any day of the week. The role involves travel between offices in Greater Dallas area.
This is a high-responsibility, high-upside role for someone with real-world experience in gold buying, pawn, or jewelry environments — and who is comfortable using digital tools.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and purchase gold jewelry and precious metal items
- Accurately test purity and weight
- Use digital systems: booking calendar, customer verification, transaction records and compliance reporting
- Support ensuring full compliance with Texas and federal requirements
Skills
- Experience in at least one of the following: pawn shop / jewelry buying / precious metals dealing
- Hands-on experience evaluating gold
- Bonus: experience in diamond or gemstone buying (GIA certification or gemologist background) or in branded jewelry resale is highly valued
- Strong customer-facing skills
- Comfortable handling cash and valuables
- Digitally native
- Based in the Northside area from Dallas or Forth Worth and open to occasional travel
Compensation
- Hourly base pay: $30–40 / hour (depending on experience)
- Opportunity for full-time position after 2-4 weeks
