Heavy Equipment Operator — Experienced Sitework Professional
D&G Multi Services is seeking a highly skilled, dependable Heavy Equipment Operator to join our growing field operations team. We are looking for a true professional who takes pride in precision work, protects the equipment they operate, understands production, and can be trusted to complete assignments safely and correctly.
This is not an entry-level position. The ideal candidate has extensive, hands-on experience operating excavators, compact track loaders, skid steers, and other construction equipment on active residential and commercial job sites. Our projects include excavation, grading, land clearing, demolition, drainage, stormwater pipe installation, septic systems, trenching, driveway construction, site preparation, and finish grading.
A successful candidate should be able to:
- Perform excavation and grading work accurately without constant supervision
- Read site plans, elevations, stakes, and basic construction drawings
- Establish proper slopes, drainage flow, subgrades, and finished elevations
- Excavate around existing structures and utilities with care and precision
- Dig trenches, foundations, septic systems, drainage systems, and utility lines
- Load trucks efficiently while minimizing equipment damage and material spillage
- Complete land-clearing and demolition work safely and productively
- Perform rough grading and finish grading to a professional standard
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and identify maintenance concerns before they become major repairs
- Communicate clearly with supervisors, drivers, laborers, customers, and other contractors
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
We are especially interested in operators with experience operating equipment such as a CAT 315 excavator, Kubota SVL75-2 compact track loader, or comparable machines.
The right candidate will be dependable, safety-conscious, productive, mechanically aware, and capable of solving problems in the field. You must report to work on time, follow instructions, respect customers’ property, and work effectively as part of a team. Careless operation, excessive equipment abuse, repeated lateness, unsafe behavior, or unreliable attendance will not be accepted.
