ASAP supports motivated students earn an associate's degree within three years. The program emphasizes enriched academic, financial, and personal support, including comprehensive and personalized advisement, career development, academic support services, scholarships, MTA OMNY cards, and textbook support.
Reporting to the Engagement Specialist, the Program Coordinator is responsible for engagement programming and staff support.
- Support the creation, development and execution of all engagement activities including STEM initiatives, skill building workshops and co-curricular programming
- Track and report student engagement activities
- Assist in the training and development of all part-time staff
- Coordinate the supervision, hiring, training and scheduling of the front desk staff
- Assist with the approval of part-time timesheets
- Responsible for the tracking and distribution of OMNY travel cards
- Maintain internal calendar of all ASAP programs
- Support the tracking of catering, purchases and room reservations for all ASAP areas
- Responsible for call campaigns to support student outreach efforts
- Maintain supplies and office equipment and monitor office workflow
- Administer and manage projects as directed
- All other duties assigned by the Engagement Specialist and Associate Director for Collaborative Strategies and Operations
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum:
Bachelor's degree with one year of experience in a related field.
Preferred:
- A strong understanding of the needs and challenges of diverse student groups
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Exemplary interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills
- Proficient in managing multiple tasks and meeting strict deadlines with changing priorities
- Strong organization, planning and project management experience
- Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records of student information
- Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office (Access and Excel) with the aptitude to learn new systems
- Experience with coordinating and executing student activities, workshops, meetings and special events.
- Flexibility working with faculty, administrators, students and external stakeholders
- The ability to work in-person and remotely
CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW
Accelerated Study in Associate Programs (ASAP) helps students earn their college degree as quickly as possible by removing the financial, academic, and personal obstacles that many students confront. Key ASAP program features include a consolidated block schedule, cohorts by major, required full-time study and comprehensive advisement and career development services. The ASAP Program Coordinator provides basic operational and analytical support related to a College's ASAP program.
Monitors and maintains student enrollment and information databases; collects and maintains statistical data
Prepares reports and surveys using student information and enrollment data
Collects information to evaluate program/event success and reports results
Serves as liaison to various College offices to ensure smooth operations and verification of student information
Creates and distributes marketing and promotional and event materials for ASAP programming
Assists with the coordination and execution of student activities, workshops, meetings and special events
Performs related duties as assigned

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary range is $56,641 - 68,470; commensurate with qualifications, education and experience.
