Medical Billing Clerk
Job Summary:
Veinguard Heart & Vascular Center is looking for a Medical Biller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others. This position is responsible for collecting payments from customers and reconciling accounts.
This position is in-person full-time only and requires 2-years employment!
Essential Functions:
·Collect payments from customers.
·Receive payments from customers.
·Verify insurance coverage and benefits.
·Process payments in accordance with billing procedures.
·Maintain accurate records and files.
·Work in a timely manner to meet or exceed expectations.
·Perform other duties as assigned by management.
·Follow all HIPAA guidelines and security protocols as required by the government agencies.
·Maintain confidentiality of all patient information, including but not limited to patient names, health insurance information, financial information, etc..
·Adhere to all company policies and procedures including the use of proper medical terminology when communicating with patients.
·Maintain confidentiality of all patient information.
·Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding medical billing and coding.
Qualifications:
·Bachelor’s Degree required.
·Minimum of 1 year experience working in a healthcare setting preferred.
·Must be proficient in an EHR system
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36.0 – 40.0 per week
