Position Overview:
Responsibilities include facilitating the laundering of inmates clothes and linens; cleaning and disinfecting all restrooms and showers; the cleanliness of all public areas within the facility; buffing and refinishing floors and vacuuming carpets; emptying and relining of all trash receptacle; restocking all paper and soap products.
General Responsibilities:
Skill with laundry/cleaning equipment including industrial washers/dryers, floor scrubbing/buffing machines, chemical dispensing machine; knowledge of modern institutional housekeeping practices; knowledge of cleaning materials and equipment as well as safety data associated with laundry and cleaning chemicals; ability to supervise inmates; ability to utilize industry related computer software.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent, experience in industrial housekeeping orlaundry preferred, will consider equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
