Job QualificationsRequired Education, Licenses, and Certifications
- Degree: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Residency: Successful completion of an accredited Family Medicine or Internal Medicine residency program (OB residency or emphasis is a plus).
- Board Status: Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Licensure: Valid, unrestricted license to practice medicine in Washington, DC (in good standing).
- Registrations: Valid DEA registration and applicable state drug licenses; enrollment as a Medicare/Medicaid provider.
- Life Support: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
Skills and Experience
- Experience: Experience in a clinic or collaborative care environment is highly preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency with Electronic Medical Records / Electronic Health Records (EMR/EHR) and standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Communication: Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to effectively present data and clinical opinions.
- Languages: Fluency in English is required.
Physical & Schedule Requirements
- Physical Demands: Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach, and use repetitive hand movements for typing/documentation; ability to occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 20–25 pounds.
- Work Schedule: Generally 2 days per week.
