GraceKennedy Foods (USA) LLC – DBA La Fe is a subsidiary of GraceKennedy Ltd. We are a full service distributor of a range of over 1,400 products in the categories of grocery, frozen, dairy and beverages. We represent some of the top brands of food products from the Caribbean, Central America, South America and Europe.

Purpose of job
Execute sales functions in the absence of the assigned Sales Representative and Merchandising Services as assigned. Ensure that sales volumes, distribution, trade marketing, and collections remain at optimal levels in the absence of the assigned personnel. Ensure that GK/LA FE distributed products are made available to consumers in an easily accessible and attractive display that encourages purchase over the competitors. Support sales team to achieve the continued profitable growth in sales of Grace Foods (USA) LLC through proper customer account management when assigned.
Key Outputs/Deliverables
To maintain a profitable relationship with each customer on the assigned territory/route, resulting in the achievement of the sales and strategic objectives of the company. Achieving merchandising impact in each store, that reflects the dominance of the GRACE/LA FE brand and the relative sales performance of Grace/La Fe Foods and Services distributed products.
Principal responsibilities
- Follow weekly Sales Plan and execute 100% on plans.
- Represent the interest of Grace Foods (USA) LLC. in the assigned territory.
- Ensure distribution and availability of products to the assigned customers.
- Review monthly the sales performance in each customer’s store and recommend a Sales and/or Marketing (PULL) program to optimize performance.
- Ensure proper management of receivables by operating at a point that minimizes risk while maximizing sales and achieving monthly collections objectives.
- Ensure the effective implementation of all Marketing Programs (Promotions, Plano-grams, Pricing, etc.).
- Unload and stock building materials on jobsites as directed.
- Ensure that all GKFoods products delivered to the customer are always available in the shopping area to the consumers.
- Ensure that only wholesome products are made available to consumers.
- Ensure that products are handled and stored in a manner to minimize damage.
- Ensure that products are displayed in a manner to encourage “first-in, first-out”.
- Communicate with store personnel and work closely with Sales Representatives in a team environment.
- Ensure distribution and availability of products to the assigned customers.
- Performs any other duties delegated from time to time in order to maintain a high level of efficiency within the department.

Minimum education and experience
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- You must have your own transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- The Merchandiser’s work schedule is based on customer requirements, which includes weekend and holiday work schedules.
- Ability to lift boxes weighing approximately 50 lbs.
- Ability to express ideas in a clear manner while being sensitive towards others.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
