Job Duties:
- Maintain current pharmacy technician license
- Maintain PTCB certification, if applicable
- Efficiently process retail and long -term care prescriptions in the computer database
- Contact health care providers with questions regarding prescriptions
- Provide assistance to patients and health care providers, both over the phone and in-person
- Efficiently prepare and fill drug orders for patient pick-up, and prescription deliveries to long term care facilities and patient homes
- Greet and assist clients at the cash register, in a friendly and professional manner
- Work cooperatively with insurance companies
- Order drug stock and maintain inventory
- Assist with third party insurance audits and Board of Pharmacy inspections
- Assist the Pharmacist on Duty with dispensing and providing prescriptions, as well as over-the-counter items
- Complete routine operational tasks as assigned by the Pharmacist on Duty
- Strictly adhere to ethical, regulatory, and quality assurance requirements
